The Adam Lister Gallery

FROM OVER HERE

OCT.5 - NOV.15, 2011

The Adam Lister Gallery is pleased to announce the opening of the first exhibit in our new location, "From Over Here", featuring new works by Diana Adams, Remmi Brant, JAMIN, Stephanie Rivers, and Crystal Wagner.

The work in this exhibtion challenges the complexity of the abstract tradition. Each artist expresses human emotions as they strive to summon the unknown from within their art. By creating secret personal systems of communication, sensory based languages are formed. These new visual codes, whether they be pictures of things we can't see or literal representations, set the stage for non-verbal conversations between the artwork and the viewer. The artwork included in "From Over Here", also addresses the concept of infinity, and the curious beauty of the boundlessness that's sensed when one is aware of their relationship to the outside world.

This exhibit will feature work in drawing, painting, sculpture and installation.

**Note that the gallery is in the same building, now on the lower level and the entrance is on University Drive between the loading dock and the fairfax art league gallery. Free parking in the parking garage.
